Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

 Even though summer lasted longer than we expected, it is now fall!  Here are a few pics from one of the last times we were able to go swimming.  In the one above, Ryan is a water zombie...  And in the one below, Super Nicole is flying to the rescue! ;)

She sure knows how to handle those water zombies! ;)

And Ryan discovered that he has a talent for walking the length of the pool...on his hands!  He got pretty good at it!









Along with fall and a new school year, Nicole has started taking gymnastics!  Below are a couple of pictures from her first day (I'll get some videos posted, soon!).

 As a family, we LOVE snuggling up and reading good books together!  We are reading the Fablehaven series right now - they're the best!  Here are a few shots of "reading time". :)

One of the most exciting things this fall was when Grandma Muench came to visit! :)  She was able to stay with us for a whole week, and we wished she could have stayed longer!  I'll get the video of her surprise arrival up soon, but here are a couple pics from our outing to Chuck E. Cheese.

And finally, Nicole is LOVING first grade!  She is doing really well, and studying hard!  She has quite a bit of homework each day, but she completes it without complaining (usually...). ;)  Here is a picture of one of the assignments she brought home.  It's a drawing of her Uncle Tom, playing the violin. :) Nicole can't wait to learn to play the violin some day (and hopefully her Uncle will teach her how)! :)
