With almost 2,000 page views on my blog this week, we are seeing evidence of how much Ryan is loved and cared for by everyone. Thank you.
I'm writing this post as I sit in our living room at home. It is so strange and sad to walk through our house and see all of Ryan's things sitting around as if he just used them. Things are starting to collect dust though, and my heart can't help but ache at the thought that he may never finish the 3-D model of a dirigible that we gave him for Father's Day. And I see all of the food he likes and the Mountain Dew that we had just stocked up on for him... The house just feels empty without my other half here...
Ryan is doing a lot more thrashing of his head from side to side. He also seems to be in more pain, so we are trying to find a good combination of meds to help him with that. His P.A. wants to send him over to the University of Utah for another MRI, and to consult with a neurologist and a hematologist. His blood platelet levels are still through the roof (aspirin isn't even making a dent), and she's concerned that it might be a sign of leukemia. She's also concerned about his vision. We don't know if he can see fully or clearly.
Nicole has spent the afternoon giving service as part of a Stake Youth Conference, while Becca and I had some Mommy-Daughter time and enjoyed a picnic in the park before a thunderstorm hit.
We're so grateful for the help we've had with projects around the house! Things are really coming along nicely. I know a lot of people have wanted to help, so if you think of something you'd like to do around our home, please talk with President Weaver or Sister Tennille Call. And my wonderful sister-in-law-law, Shaini, is orchestrating the projects inside. 💜 Thank you, everyone!
We have also set up an account for people who would like to help with expenses. Please know that we aren't actively seeking assistance, but we have had enough people want to help monetarily that we decided the easiest way to allow that would be to set up an account at our credit union that can accept deposits from any Shared Branch Co-Op Credit Union in the country. You will need a couple of pieces of information if you would like to do this, so please send me (or Ryan's mom) a private message or text if you're interested, as I don't want to publicly advertise all of the pertinent information.
Your continued prayers and faith in Ryan's behalf are the greatest thing we could ask for at this time - please don't underestimate their value! I know that you, in turn, will be blessed for all of your efforts to ease the burdens of others.
