Last night was another rough night, but thanks to a great nurse who kept trying new things and communicating with Ryan to find out what he needed to be comfortable, things are getting better. The nurse discovered that Ryan sleeps better at night when he's not completely surrounded by pillows, and when his bed is a little closer to flat (we've been keeping him more in a sitting position to help prevent lung issues). It also might have helped to stop his constant tube feed so his stomach didn't feel so full. Whatever is is, he has been kicking a lot less this morning and sleeping better.
Unfortunately, the mid-line that was put in Ryan's arm yesterday got pulled again... :( So they're trying to get someone to put a new one in before Ryan's MRI this morning. But they were able to get a regular IV in, so that may be good enough...we'll see.
At least twice this morning his feeding tube popped off and leaked food all over him. But the staff is really good about getting him all cleaned up after that happens.
Ryan's PA just came in to check on him this morning. She was amazed that he's been moving his leg, and that he's been laughing. We're all really interested to see what his MRI shows!
Please keep those prayers coming!!! 💜💜💜
