Videos!

Today has been another great day! Ryan is working so incredibly hard, and improving very fast! :) He is experiencing some hearing loss in his right ear, which is concerning. His doctor here is going to get a neurologist to consult with him, and have an ENT doctor come check his ear as well. Ryan's least favorite time of the day is speech therapy because it's so taxing on his mind, and he can't clearly see how he's improving. Today he was asked questions about reading calendars, and he did a great job with those. Then he was asked questions about cash and calculating change and manipulating money, and that was more difficult for him. But he is clearly (to me) improving in his mental functioning each day.

All of his food restrictions have been lifted, so he's able to eat whatever he wants now! :) They are working toward making sure he's eating enough calories during the day so that they can remove his feeding tube. And today his physical therapist cleared him to be able to walk around the hospital with his walker as long as I am there next to him! We've gone on several walks this afternoon, and Ryan is getting stronger each time! 💜💜💜
