Happy Mother's Day to all of you ladies! I hope your day is a beautiful one!
We went camping Thursday and Friday, and my soul rejoiced in the peace and beauty of nature! Preparing for and cleaning up after a camping trip is sooo much work, and it about did us in... but in the end it was worth it! Ryan has particular trouble with keeping things organized in his head and feeling completely overwhelmed with all there is to do, which really frustrates him because he used to excel at those kind of tasks. He has been struggling with comparing his abilities now to his abilities prior to his brain injury. The differences are difficult things for him to accept. But he sure made this camping trip fun for his girls! 💜💜💜 We taught the girls how to shoot a bow and arrow, use a sling shot, and how to shoot a little bb gun. We had 4-wheeler rides with Grandpa, and played in the dirt. We soaked up the sun and explored the woods. And the dogs loved having the freedom to roam and sleep wherever they pleased. It was freezing cold at night, but it just makes us appreciate our warm house even more when we get home.
This morning Ryan and the girls have been working together to make me a Mother's Day breakfast. 😍😍😍 We have been richly blessed!
